Women have been starting businesses at a higher rate than men for the last 20 years and tend to create home-based micro (less than 5 employees) and small businesses. Women will create over half of the 9.72 million new small business jobs expected to be created by 2018 and more and more are doing this from home offices across the country. That's why Working Women of Tampa Bay is starting a monthly Entrepreneur Lunch & Learn at Flamestone American Grill in Oldsmar. This month's featured speaker is Nique Mealey - Co-Founder of Back 9 Dips.

The event starts at 11am. Speaker begins at 11:30am. Food is served at Noon. You'll have the choice from 3 menu items plus soup or salad. Soda or Iced Tea is also included.

About Our Speaker:

Nique Mealey along with David Mealey are the presidents and Cofounders of Back 9 Dips, a popular and succsessful line of snack dips. Back 9 Dips was born from products the Mealeys created for their barbeque catering business. At the urging of friends and happy customers, the couple turned a favorite
recipe - Bubba¹s Buffalo Chicken Dip The Chicken Wing on a Chip - into an entrepreneurial venture that grew into a successful business. In less than four years, the Mealeys have transformed a small catering business into a company that sells products in 4,000 retail outlets nationwide and ships to customers from coast to coast. We've created a fantastic half-day program which includes a networking hour followed by a dynamic, diverse panel of speakers discussing the challenges and obstacles women face when endeavoring to make their mark in the corporate world and small business communities.

Speakers include:

Kelli Chickos is Director of Learning & Development at Valpak/Cox Target Media where she specializes in Talent Management and Leadership Development. Kelli earned her Certified Professional in Learning & Performance (CPLP) designation from the American Society of Training & Development (ASTD) in 2006. She has been an active member of Toastmasters International for six years where she has competed in several speech competitions and held various officer positions. She recently earned her Coaching Certification from Coach Training Alliance and looks forward to a career as a Business and Life Coach specializing in helping women in leadership.

Kari Saddler works at Tampa General Hospital as a Senior Leadership Development Coach. Her primary task is to support the leadership team by creating a robust curriculum of courses for their personal and professional development. She presents at retreats for nursing, physicians, and leadership. As a professional coach, Kari has worked with a variety of clients including doctors, artists, and CEOs. Working with Kari, coaching clients identify opportunities for growth, create balance, become more effective, and manage their time.

Lori Taplow has more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience with banking giants such as JP Morgan Chase and Citigroup. She spent the previous two years managing the North American business of Talking Talent, a global coaching organization; innovative and sole provider of maternity transition coaching in the US. She provided maternity transition coaching to professional women and their managers in Fortune 500 companies and premier law firms and is now an Associate Director at Talking Talent. Judge Susan Sexton is a former Hillsborough County Trial Judge. She has tried or presided over literally thousands of cases. Her last assignment in divorce court coupled with her personal divorce experience prompted her to write the guide: "5 Steps to Hiring the Right Divorce Lawyer." Judge Sexton created the award winning Elder Justice Center, which allows the elderly and the developmentally disabled to have full access to the court system. For her efforts, Judge Sexton,received the Distinguished Judicial Service Award from the Florida Supreme Court. She is a blogger on Psychology Today under the title, "Better Judgment."
