Join us for our monthly St. Pete Marketing Mastermind Breakfast at Ricky P's Orleans Bistro. Light breakfast and coffee will be served. This month's presentation is The Art of Referrals.

Imagine how different your life and your business would be if your phone rang every day, and your inbox had messages in it everyday from people who want to work with you because their friend recommended you? Imagine how much less stress there would be over marketing? What a relief!

In today's world, your most powerful salespeople are no longer the one's you pay the big money to close the deals. You're most powerful salespeople are your advocates - your customers that are generating business referrals and positively raving about your business to their friends and associates.

It's a fact: People would rather do business with people they know -- or know of -- than with strangers. When you're introduced to a prospect through a personal recommendation, that prospect has a vastly higher comfort level than, say, a buyer you find through cold calling. After all, few things are more reassuring than a positive endorsement from someone you know and trust.

So why is it that, while we all covet referrals, we don't pursue them as much as we should? We will be discussing ways to obtain referrals and incentives used to obtain them.
