“What a great question!” That’s what we all want to hear when we’re connecting with other professionals while networking, attending meetings or lunches, meeting with prospective clients, or interacting at the office.

Last March, Elizabeth (Liza) MacDonald presented this workshop, which sold out. Those attending described it as “extremely informative” and “engaging from beginning to the end.”

We asked Liza to present it again so more women can have the opportunity to experience Ask Fascinating Questions at The Klingman Group in Tampa. Lunch will be provided.

Those attending will enhance their ability to:

  • Initiate conversations
  • Ask fascinating questions and eliciting fascinating responses
  • Guide conversations so they will feel as involved and energized as the person answering the questions.
  • Follow-up with questions that continue to stoke the fascinating conversation
  • Know what types of questions to avoid
  • Ask questions that will keep their presentation audiences engaged

Communications Skills Advisor Elizabeth (Liza) MacDonald provides customized workshops and consultations to professionals. Typically, her clients are already good communicators, and they want to be even better.

Her company is the Verbal Edge, which she launched almost 10 years ago.

Before that, she taught high school English, was the communication specialist for the second-largest school district in Indiana, and was an award-winning TV anchor, reporter, and talk-show host in the Fort Wayne, Indiana and the Norfolk/Virginia Beach markets.

Liza is the author of the recently-published book, Sharpen Your Verbal Edge: 101 Tips to Enhance Your Professional Communication Skills.

She graduated from Indiana University at Fort Wayne with a B.S. in Education--focusing on sociology, history and English. She completed her masters work and graduate orals in Broadcast Communication at San Francisco State University and interned at KPIX-TV in San Francisco.
