Sticks and stones may break your bones, but words can change your brain! Do you remember when someone’s comments felt as if you had been slapped in the face? Conversely, have you ever had a compliment that has made you smile long after it was given? Research has found that the words we use affect our brain’s functioning. Learning to use our words to encourage ourselves first can assist us in communicating with others better. Debbie Lane CHt. will share how to understand the types of words we use and how to adapt them so that as women we are not just heard but listened to!
