Please join us for a private tour of the 1891 Tampa Bay Hotel, home to The University of Tampa and the Henry B. Plant Museum. Now a National Historic Landmark, this downtown Tampa icon, features educational exhibits and artifacts reminiscent of the beginning of Florida’s tourist industry during the late Victorian period. Come learn the significance of the hotel during the early stages of the Spanish American War and how Tampa was thrusted into the world arena in the summer of 1898 – a trend that continues to drive the city’s growing popularity as a destination of choice for business relocation and expansion at the national and international levels.

Prior to the tour, we’ll do a meet and greet over light breakfast and coffee. Following the tour, get the latest scoop on Creating an Effective University Recruitment Strategy to enhance your entry-level Talent Management practices from Julia Ruddock, Manager of Employer Development at UT. Julia is a Connector to the core, brokering relationships across campus and the Tampa Bay community to facilitate strategic partnerships that effect successful university engagement for employer partners. A West Point Graduate, Army Engineer and former Chief of Staff to the Citigroup Tampa Site President, Julia’s objective with this presentation is simple – helping companies save time through the development of well-defined on-campus recruiting strategies.
