Zoom Workshop: Conveying Confidence Virtually

Working Women of Tampa Bay is presenting Zoom Workshop daily to provide low-cost education to its members and guests. Thanks to Elizabeth (Liza) MacDonald for presenting Conveying Confidence Virtually.

We can be confident and yet, unknowingly, come across as the opposite when we lead or attend virtual meetings.

That’s because additional skills are needed for us to present ourselves as confident and credible in that visual medium.

While participating in virtual meeting, we can enhance our image and branding—or compromise it.

Communication skills advisor and former TV broadcaster Elizabeth (Liza) MacDonald will share tips on how to visually and verbally convey that confidence and credibility virtually.

During this virtual workshop, you will discover how to:

• Frame yourself for broadcasting
• Ensure your background enhances and reinforces your branding
• Effectively begin presentations—virtually or in person
• Convey confidence and credibility—visually and verbally—throughout virtual meetings

Liza is the owner of The Verbal Edge and author of Sharpen Your Verbal Edge: 101 Tips to Enhance Your Professional Communication Skills.

She works with individuals and teams to enhance their professional communication skills.

Her background includes:

TV anchor, reporter, talk show host, PM Magazine producer and co-host in the Fort Wayne, Indiana and the Norfolk/Virginia Beach metro areas.

Liza has a BS in secondary education from Indiana University and completed her master’s degree coursework and graduate orals in Broadcast Communication at San Francisco State University.
