Working Women of Tampa Bay is hosting "Connect & Collaborate" by Industrious at Centro de Ybor. Guests will be treated to a light brunch, workshop, and a speed networking session.
During the mini-workshop “Asking Fascinating Questions”, attendees will enhance their questioning skills by exploring:
- Questions that elicit intriguing responses
- What it takes to ask fascinating questions
- Questions to avoid
- How to guide conversations so you—the person asking the questions and then listening—feel as involved and energized as the person answering.
Following the workshop, you'll get to utilize these questions during a speed networking session so you can connect and collaborate with other guests.
This event is limited to 20 guests. Add 10 minutes to your travel time to park in the garage and walk the three blocks to Industrious. Directions will be provided prior to the event.
Speaker:
Communication Skills Advisor Elizabeth (Liza) MacDonald will lead the workshop, a shorter version of the workshop she has given twice for Working Women of Tampa Bay—both of those workshops sold out right away.
Elizabeth provides customized communication skills workshops and consultations to professionals. She launched her company, The Verbal Edge, thirteen years ago.
Before that, she was a TV anchor, reporter, and talk-show host in the Fort Wayne, Indiana and Norfolk/Virginia Beach markets; a high school English teacher; a communication specialist for the largest school district in Indiana; and assistant manager of flight attendants in San Francisco.
