Women are starting more new businesses than at any other time in history! It's an exciting time to be a female entrepreneur. Working Women's mission is to be a support system for enterprising women who are following their dream. That's why we're hosting an educational breakfast with the help of our community sponsor in Sarasota: Goodwill.

Too often, we consider a "networking function" as a crowded event where we judge it's success on how many business cards we have either shared or collected. We then review the cards the next day to send an email and have completely forgotten the face that goes with the card as we only spoke for a few seconds. So how do you stay memorable? You must share your "why!' Author Heather Hackett will share the importance of weaving your personal and professional story into your pitch so you're not another face in the crowd.

About Our Speaker:

Heather Hackett graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2002 with a B.S. in Business Education. She taught high school in Columbus, Ohio for two years before moving to Sarasota and receiving her certification from International Sports Sciences Association in Youth Fitness Training. She then combined her passions and founded, I Train Your Kids, a company focused on improving the health of children and their families through proper nutrition and exercise. Heather continued to develop her passion into the form of a children’s book titled, The Pretty in Me, and created her own publishing company, Be Me Books, Inc. The second book, titled, Shaken by the Silence will be released in November 2013.

Refreshments will be served thanks to ambassador Gigi Wiegman of DoTERRA Essential Oils and The Cookie Cottage.

The COOKIE COTTAGE is a made-to-order cookie/dessert company. A variety of cookies, cupcakes and desserts are offered, including custom hand-decorated cookies and cupcakes and gift baskets. Most orders can be completed the day they are ordered. Custom Cut-out Cookies can be designed in any shape and require 48 hours notice. The Cookie Cottage will be opening a retail location downtown Sarasota this year for those last-minute cookie gifts. Also offered are birthday parties, cookie-decorating parties and Girl Scout classes. See website for details. www.thecookiecottageflorida.com, 941-993-0671.

About Our Host: Goodwill Industries is a mission-integrated nonprofit enterprise with one goal: the development and operation of high-impact social services that result in good jobs, good homes, and good neighborhoods. Connect with them on Facebook.
