    HCC Startup Toolbox Speaker Series
    Presented by USAmeriBank, each semester the HCC Entrepreneurship Program offers a speaker series called the "Startup Toolbox Speaker Series". These events are designed to bridge our campus community with the business and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Tampa Bay. The events feature business and entrepreneurship leaders that visit our campus and participate in a panel discussion themed around myriad topics.

    FALL 2016
    Event 2: Friday, October 21, 2016, 10am-12pm

    “Planned Serendipity, Resources in the Tampa Bay Entrepreneurial Community"  
    Guest speakers will discuss the wide array of community resources and events available to entrepreneurs in Tampa Bay that create a platform for planned serendipity.

    Event 3: Friday, November 18, 2016, 10am-12pm

    “Pecha Kucha Happening, Stories of Serendipity Presented in 400 seconds””
    Pecha Kucha presentations are brief 6 minute and 40 second presentations (20 slides that auto transition every 20 seconds). A collection of entrepreneurs will present their stories of serendipity using the pecha kucha presentation format.

    On Point Executive Center is hosting their second annual Book Fair; Saturday, September 17th from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm at the WestShore Plaza.  This unique one-day event unites avid readers with local authors, bloggers, publishers and a variety of vendors who serve the craft.  Attendees can expect to be delighted by a showcase of both fiction and non-fiction books covering all varieties and genre’s of writing including science fiction, satire, drama, action and adventure, self-help, children’s, religion, time travel, cookbooks and autobiographies.  The authors will be on-site for book signings and conversations regarding their work.  Several reputable publishers will also take part in the Book Fair and be available to discuss your next book venture.

    You can help change the lives of children by participating in the Freedom to Walk Foundation’s Fourth Annual One Step At A Time Gala on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 6-11PM. Join Mistress of Ceremonies Jennifer Holloway, News Channel 8 at 8 Anchor for an evening of fine dining, dancing, raffles and silent action at the recently renovated Centre Club.
